Switch Box Liner (Putty Pad)
Product Description:
Intuchem Switch box liners are a quick and simple alternative to putty pads, can be fitted in seconds and are fire and acoustic rated.
The switch box liners have been developed to provide maximum fire protection combined with ease of fitting for wall penetrations created by the introduction of single or double recessed switch / socket boxes.
Wall penetrations can significantly reduce the integrity of the wall to perform in a fire and the ability of the wall to provide an effective acoustic barrier is also impaired.
In timber framed buildings preventing a fire entering wall cavities and attacking the structure is critical to the overall fire integrity of the building.
In a fire situation, the liners flanged design ensures that the fire resistant material remains in place to limit the spread of fire through the switch / socket penetration. The fire is unable to penetrate the hole and the liner is able to give additional insulation protection to the wall void by reducing the chance of heat build up and the ignition of flammable structural members.
Penetrations in walls also create a potential air path for heat loss, drafts and conducting sound: fitting an Intuchem Switch Box Liner reduces these problems.
The socket box insert is designed for most common single & double switch / socket.
Single or Double Switch / Socket sizes available in standard Depth of
35mm or extra deep of 47mm.
