3. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION.
Intuchem Mortar has no hazard classification according to 88/379/EEC.
Addition of water to
all similar products that contains lime release alkalis which may cause
irritation to the skin and eyes
.
Respirable dust from any fine powders could, if inhaled over a prolonged
period, constitute a health
hazard. The current Occupational Exposure Standards for the above dust
should not be exceeded.
Ingress into waterways may cause discolouration. BOD may be harmful to
aquatic organisms.
4. FIRST AID MEASURES.
4.1 EYE CONTACT.
Wash out with plenty of clean water or sterile eye solution.
4.2 SKIN CONTACT.
No acute symptoms. Wash off with soap and water. If eye or
skin irritation persists seek medical
advice.
4.3 INGESTION.
Symptoms: Nausea. Give water to drink. Seek medical advice.
4.4 INHALATION.
Symptoms: Choking, coughing, dizziness.
Remove to fresh air. Seek medical advice.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES.
5.1 EXTINGUISHING MEDIA.
Is not flammable therefore not applicable.
5.2 FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS.
