Product Description:
Often overlooked but making a vital contribution to the integrity of
a fire door set is ironmongery protection. It is vital around the critical
weak points on a fire door set - particularly on 60 Minute rated fire
doors.
On reaction to fire, at around 125°C, these intumescent ironmongery seals begin to expand to many times their original volumes to provide an effective barrier against fire, smoke and hot gases for these otherwise weaker points of a fire door.
