Downlight Hoods

Product Description:

Downlight hoods are used to fire protect ceilings subject to fire regulations ie where the ceiling construction must be fire rated.

Fire hoods restore the integrity of a ceiling where holes for downlighters have been made.

During a fire the Intuchem Downlight Hood expands internally to fill all the available space with a highly insulating fire resistant char. Thus, the fire is unable to penetrate the downlighter opening.

The fire hood also gives additional insulation protection to the ceiling void, reducing the chance of heat build up and ignition of flammable materials such as accumulated dust or timber joists.

This downlight hood is also acoustic rated.
