Acoustic Smoke Seals for Doors
Product Description:
There are two basic seal types
a door bottom seal
a perimeter seal
Door Bottom Seals:
These automatic, acoustic and smoke rated door bottom seals are spring
loaded to lift clear of the floor when the door is opened by a few millimetres.
Available as a surface mounted seal (image 1) or a rebated seal (image 2) which fits into a 28mm x 13mm groove into the bottom edge of the door, they are operated automatically by pressure against the door jamb on its adjusting screw and seals when the door closes and retracts automatically when the door is opened.
Both are designed to seal a gap in the range of 3mm – 14mm and have been acoustically and smoke tested on proprietary fire doors with a noise reduction Index level of Rw 37dB.
Available in the following lengths
330mm, 430mm, 530mm, 630mm, 730mm, 830mm, 930mm, 1030mm, 1130mm, 1230mm.
Seal can be cut back by 95mm.
Satin Anodised finish.
Perimeter Seals: A PVC extruded, semi-rigid, semi-flexible, surface-mounted acoustic and smoke perimeter seal with a self-adhesive backing.
Locates in the protected corners of rebated frames of single or double broad butt hinged doors and windows (image 3 opposite).
Designed to seal a gap in the range of 3mm – 5.5mm.
Acoustically and smoke tested on proprietary fire doors with a noise reduction Index level of Rw 31dB.
Use in conjunction with an acoustic door bottom seal(see above)for maximum benefit.
Sold in 2100mm lengths in Black, Brown or White finish.
